FOR EMERGENCIES

Due to continual abuse, the phone number is no longer given out. I will no longer communicate with anyone who isn't willing to communicate via facebook so I can have some verification of who I am dealing with. I've heard all the excuses from people who claim to not have a facebook, and I don't buy it. Many people simply want to hide who they are when they're perpetrating a fraud of some kind. I get too much abuse of the phone in the form of scams, pranks, or threats, and so if you aren't prepared to communicate the issue to me in a facebook message, then I won't take your case anymore. Message me at https://www.facebook.com/reptilerescue WITH PHOTOS OF THE ANIMAL in the FIRST message and give the LOCATION.

I will respond to emergencies 24hrs a day, however, the response time depends on the severity of the case and my availability. During normal business hours, you may call Wild Bird Rescue at 940.691.0828 if you have found a bird or a mammal. They will accept birds, and may direct you to an alternate for a mammal.

If this is not an emergency (the animal is active, alert, not injured, and not in immediate danger), you may email to the address above and I will respond as soon as possible, but do not expect an immediate reply. Follow the guidelines on the page for Found Reptile in the meantime. If the animal is uninjured it will be OK until we can pick it up. Keep secure in a dark and quiet room. Do not offer food or water without consultation.
