Most recently, we purchased Douglas Mader's "Reptile Medicine and Surgery Manual". Something that had been on the wish list for a while. This ran approx $150, but has already been used to help numerous animals, including a Box Turtle that required leg surgery, a Red Eared Slider that needed her shell repaired after being struck by a car, and a rescued Iguana with an abscess on the snout.

Our next campaign is to increase awareness of rural landowners and motorists in rural areas where Horned Lizards are discovered, by posting small caution signs indicating that "horny toads" have been observed recently on that road, and to please use caution in the morning and evening, when horned lizards are most often out on the roads.

    Thank You
